The Southwest American Indian art gallery contains pottery, jewelry, and kachinas from the Navajo, Zuni, Hopi, Acoma, Santa Clara, and Jemez Indians. The Northeast Gallery contains carvings, masks, copper, and prints from the Coast Salish, Haida, Tlingit, and Tsimshian people. The Southeast Gallery presents baskets, pottery, and carvings from the Cherokee Indians of North Carolina. The Inuit sculpture, Inuit prints, and Inuit drawings from Cape Dorset, Holman, Baker Lake, and Pangnirtung are represented in the Inuit Gallery. The Northeast and Plains galleries contain Penobscot baskets, paintings by Laurie Houseman White Hawk, and Ojibwe birch bark baskets. American Indian books, magazines, and music are also available.
